There are two dinners that I've been digging lately, pizza and sandwiches.
I'll share my latest sandwich craze later, but right now I'd like to share the latest pizza infatuation.
Ridiculously Easy Taco Pizza
This is fast and adaptable- if you like Pizza and if you like Taco's, you can make this to your liking easy.
Ingredients
pizza dough for two pizza's or already made crust
1 pound ground meat
taco seasoning
1 can tomato paste
Tabasco sauce
chili powder
1 can refried beans
salsa
cheese
toppings you like for taco's- lettuce, tomatoes, etc.
In this corner, I've browned the meat with taco seasoning. Just as though I was making taco's.
In this corner, tomato paste and chili powder and Tabasco to taste. Then enough water to make it saucy.
In this corner, mix the refried beans and salsa. How much salsa? Enough to again, make it saucy.
And in this corner, the crust. I keep saying I am going to make the pizza crust from scratch and then I don't. This is just so easy to buy it done!
Okay, this is where it's all brought together.
First, spread the refried bean mix on the crust.
Then spread the tomato paste mix on the refried mix that's on the crust.
(I totally missed a step in photo's. I am so not a muti-tasker.)
But, spread the hamburger meat mix on the tomato paste mix that's on the refried beans mix that's on the pizza crust.
Then add cheese.
Bake at about 450 for about 10 minutes until the cheese is all melty and browning. MmmMMmmm.....
Then if you are in my house you have to leave one pizza like this- due to pickiness. grrr.
But for the matured palates....
Cover with shredded lettuce.
Tomatoes.
I have a saying," I used to not like tomatoes, then I grew up."
Sometimes turning your nose up at foods because you don't like it seems so child like. Just seems like you know you've entered adulthood when you stop doing that. And I would know all about maturity!
(I think I'm about to hear about that one. And I think I know from whom) :-)
I digress....
Olives.
Sour cream.
If I had advacado I would have added that.
Yum!
You can add taco sauce.... whatever. Whatever you like on taco's or burrito's- out it here, just go for it!
There ya have it!
I'd love to hear back from anyone that tries this. :)
