Things all Parents Should (and should not) Do

 

 

#10- Do take pictures like this when the kids are young to use against them when they are 18.

(hey, I just took the picture, I didn't put him in the hose!)

 

 

#9- Don't trust your child alone with your camera.

 

 

#8-Do buy your sons play weapons, or they'll use balloons, because they will play with 'weapons'.

(their boys!!!)

 

 

#7- Don't leave your child in time-out too long (or a bird might make a nest in her hair).

 

 

#6- Don't tell a princess no. Or she might not kiss you bye (this very morning!)

 (not the picture, just the incident)

 

 

#5- Do take your children to the dentist regularly.

 

 

#4- Never NEVER pass up a photo booth!

 

 

#3- Do take one night a week to shut out the world and do something, ANYTHING, no matter how silly and no matter how grown up your kids are. Just make it family time. 

 

 

 

#2- Do encourage silliness and laughter.

 

#1- Most important (and dare I say this is going to be controversial?)

Do put your spouse (marriage) first!

 

It all started with your spouse, in a matter of years it will just be you and your spouse at home, and guess what? If you are worried about your kids- know that this is what they want! They want you to love their other parent! Nurturing your marriage gives the kids stability they need.
